I am looking for TBird standard shift accelerator parts.

# 9830 Linkage piece that is bolted to the engine and holds part # 9725 (see below). This may be the same as an auto trans (sure looks like it)

# 9725 Bell crank assembly - this is the part that bolts to the firewall and which the rod to the carb is attached.

# 9747 Rod going to carb from part # 9725

I am not sure that the sedan parts are the same. The 9830 looks like it might be. If you have a TBird parts Illustrated book see page 69. If you need a copy, I can send it to you.

Hi Paul,  Try Tony Belluchi in Des Moines, Iowa.  He has used T-Bird parts and he manufactures throttle linkage pieces, like for the "E" Birds.  He sells throttle linkage parts to the T-Bird parts suppliers.  Should have what you need, phone is 515-263-3606.  I got my T-Bird throttle linkage from him.  Good luck, Nick Brann - K.C, MO

Hi Paul, I may have what you need but I can't check til later this evening. Mine would be for an auto but as I recall, the differences are in the kickdown (slide part) which you could modify and replace with the stick version. I'll get back to you.

Alan - From what I've seen, the stick linkage that attaches to the fire wall is different because it has a welded on piece, at about the middle of the horizontal part, for the rod that goes to the carb. The auto ones don't have this but has a piece that sticks up at the end to connect with the rest of the auto linkage.

Alan - Looking at a illustration I missed, what I described above was the 57 type. The 55 and 56 #9725 is the same for stick and auto. Plus I just found out that my 56 Tbird has a mixture of 56 and 57 auto linkage

apologies for taking so long Paul, but I can't seem to put my hands on the parts you asking about. I'll try again later but lack of organization of too much old stuff is slowing me down! Not much help here.
