just saying g,day

 been on the site for a while now but in the back ground. i have a 56 vicky shaved door handles, bonnet & boot. its got a 54 merc. 256 cu. motor 3x2s edelbrock 273 manifold

 & edelbrock finned rocker covers to . i,ve had the car for about 12 mths now. the bloke

i brought it of imported it from england to aust. about 4 years a go. the colour is black & white. i also have a 57 aust. mainline ute that i drive every day it has 302 windsor c4

front disc brakes lowered colour is tru blu a 1970 gt falcon colour. all of the work done on the vicky was apparently done in the usa in the early sixtys.

it,s a 57  ford aussie made ute ,it took me about 5 yrs to build it just a pile of parts when it first came home .its got a 1970 windsor 4 barrell new575 hollie small cam and the rest is standard c4 tranny original dana diff regeared to 3.01 .run,s dual fuel as i drive it to work every day i run it on lp gas most of the time do about a 1000ks a week going to work. all the chassis & steering is as henry made it. the interio is white & light grey it,s lowered all round 2 inches  blocks at the back & i cut one coil at the front. twin exhausts and nice loud rumble to wifes says it gives her a head ache if she,s in it to long, but like.??????/ the wheels are 14x8 at the back 14x 7 on the front chrome 12 slot rims.

Glad to see another Aussie on the site. What state  do you live in  ?? Spread the word about the site .We need to keep up the numbers so were not over run by those Canadians ? Good looking ute ,and the Vicky sure does look sharp .

i live in vic at a place called winchelsea a small town about 35 ks west of geelong on the princes hwy. thats the engine in the vicky.

my name is moz i live in geelong nice mainline & vicky ive got a star mainline & a star customline cusso isnt on the road yet its got a 351 clevo &c4y the mainline is stock was built by a bloke called charlie zammit in rockbank its white & dark blue.

g,day to you all. yes moz i do know charlie great bloke builds a lot of cussies.i,ll be going on cols coastal cruise tomorrow meeting at the grovedale pub 22.7.07 leaving for the cruise about 10.00am like to see you there. garry i hope the 56 is coming a long alright i,ve had plenty of those great cars. i,ve even been thinking of pulling the 302w out of the ute and putting a y block back in it.it would be just a bolt up job as the ute chassy hasn,t been modified.  ray

Welcome along, What are the supply of Y's and parts like in Australia these days? We are finding them harder to find now in their complete state. And parts going up in price due to limited supply. The NZD gaining strength against the USD has helped importing quality parts from the USA. How are you guys finding it????

Great pair of cars you have their, we had a limited amount of the Mainlnes down here in NZ for 55, 56, still popular today.

Great to see another Y member from down under... Besides Lon...Just kidding...

i didnt know col did a cruise i work next door to a mate of his he has never told me this, old charlie & i have become good mates i spend a lot of time up at his place he just built a 57 cusso & then had his hip replaced i havent been able to get up there for a while hope to see him soon. did you say  you are a truck driver & do you live in whinch or just out of town ?
