Why does everything always happen on Fridays? I guess so we can feel like s++*& all wek end. I just got back a while ago from the doctor and was told what I was expecting to hear but, didn't want to hear. I have Cancer. I am going to have to have tons of Chemo and all that. So, I am selling my bird and all associated belongings for someone else to enjoy. I dont thnk I will be able to for a long time and theres no need to let it sit. I have lots of parts to go with the car and parts to sell separate. I have all the parts to return the bird to original. Knobs ,screws, wires ,wiper, etc. Just ask. asking $28,000 for all. you can e-mail me wpccgrad@hotmail.com Earl Dagenhart

Earl, I've been a member here far less than most and so there are naturally few I've grown "attached to" in some virtual/internet sort of way, but I count you as someone's posts I look forward to reading. All that to say that I am saddened to hear of your "news". You will be in my prayers for strength and victory in the battle you have involuntarily enbarked. Your bird and your vision for it has been an inspiration, and the next custodian will be quite lucky indeed. Kindest regards... Brian

Y-Guy Earl: Sorry to hear about the "C" You'll be in my prayers from now on..... "Lon" from "down under" has a lot of contacts and sometimes buys vehicles, when he comes to Columbus. You might P.M. him and see if he know's a potential buyer. I know, in your upcoming "battle", your Bird may be down a few notches, of importance, but I know you would like to keep it in the forum family, so you can buy it back when you "whip" the "C". Keep the faith, Bill

Earl: I join with the others here in wishing you a good luck & a speedy recovery.. As it happens I just sent you an e mail 2 days ago inquiring about a part. I'm sure you had more important things on your mind the last few days then reading e mails. Sorry about the unfortunate timing. Respond if you feel up to it. Best wishes.

Been trying to send PMs but dont know why but wont work so I will do it this way. I have a big walnut stuck in my head causing me all kinds of greif. If the doctors can reduce it they may be able to operate and remove it. Nobody knows . We will give it a try. But in either case I dont have anyone to give my bird to so I need to sell it . No ,I dont need the cash for medical bills I am 100% disabled thru the VA and this is covered with no cost to me. Ijust need to pass this car along to someone to enjoy it. I also have other ailments (diabetes, arthritis, vision issues, etc.) . Its just time to let her go . I will keep all of you informed on this site as I can. Have to go to Duke Hospital next week for more poking and crap . I hate doctors. Paul I never recieved your e-mail. try again unccgrad@live.com Thanks guys . LONG LIVE Y-BLOCKS!!!! Earl

Earl,
Sorry to hear of your troubles. Best of luck with your upcoming treatment. Kind of reminds us all of how tenuous things can be ("There but for the grace, etc.").

That's some tough news and my thoughts are with you also. Hanging around doctors, hospitals, clinics, etc. isn't the best way to spend time but they can pull off some amazing things occasionally. Good luck on the upcoming "poking around".

Earl, My sister had a problem similar to yours and was operated on in January, without much hope of success on the doctors part, and today she is almost 100% again and improving every day,.So good things do happen to good people, which I know includes you from reading your posts on here. Hang in there and best wishes to you.

Another well wisher here. Our daughter is going thru her second series of chemo for breast cancer. The news of a malignancy was terrible but early detection and aggressive treatment foretell a good prognosis. I pray the same for you as well. Also, my wife is a type 1 diabetic just diagnosised about 5 years ago. You have my sympathy and well wishes as you battle that evil disease. Wish we could put your 'Bird in the garage - that is Linda's drool machine.

Earl, I've had many family members and friends confront the "BIG C". Unfortunately it's something our generation has to face and hopefully there's a cure out there. Many are still with me, some sadly are not. All that are survivors have said the same thing. Treatment is a fist fight, but through their treatment they refused to let something come between their family and friends and they refused to let something they loved in life slip away. Keep the Bird and remember what it's like to stuff your right foot into the floor boards. Are thoughts and prayers are with you Earl. Larry

Prayers sent Earl. Keep a strong attitude, believe in sucess. Easy to say, hard to do. I have had a major stroke, and bypass surgery. It has really slowed me down but I keep hope alive.

Earl, Add us to the list of those praying for you. My mom has been battling cancer for 5 years now. Its been very tough, but there can be some good stories too. Make sure to ask your doctor if the gamma knife is an option for any brain lesions. Nothing else to say except our prayers are with you; stay strong!

Hi Earl, You're a class act as I can tell from your messages. Really like what you've done with your T-Bird. Wish I were an expert M.D. so that I could give you some medical advice, but I'm not. We are praying for you- get well soon! Nick Brann - K.C., MO

Dang Earl! I hardly check in to the classified and I see this when I do. I'm sorry to hear about your cancer, my prayers will be with you. I would love to buy your 'Bird for my wife, she has always wanted one (me too), just no money for it now. I hope someone here can give it a good home and set your mind at ease.
