Prefer the earlier style carbs, but the Holleys from -60-61 truck 292 will be ok. As long as the parts are there, and the butterflies still work and the ears are not broken on the base that's ok. I need a couple of them for a project I have working. I have 2, but one is in pretty bad shape, an original `57 carb. Let me know what you have. Not interested in any NOS, or show quality restoration stuff, just working on a driver setup.

You wouldn't be working on a 2300 series tri-power setup, would ya??  I think I have a carb, I'll have to check it for broken parts and stuck throttles.  A few years ago I fabbed a tripower setup for my son's 429 in his '55, using motorcraft carbs.  Worked pretty well.

Looked at the carb.  No obvious broken parts, but the choke and throttle are STUCK.  It has a tag I don't understand, but the date code on the tag starts with a 9 and has two letters.  I assume it's '59, it's on a B9EA manifold.

Yeah John, that's what I'm working on. I came across a good deal on a tri-power intake, trying to get a good setup together. Fix me a price and let me know. I was at Glen Hendersons a month ago, and he had dumped a couple 4 barrels into some molasses, and believe it or not, it takes the rust off and had freed up the throttle plate as well. I can try that my self. I am on Power Tour this week with my dad, be home about Saturday sometime.

James:

Dragged the manifold and carb out of the dark barn.  I missed a couple things when I first looked.  The front two mounting ears are broken, but not broken off the base.  They are broken across the bolt holes, but a little more than half of each hole remains.  A flat washer would make it usable.  The numbers on the air horn are: B9EM 9510 B and List 1798-1.  Sorry I can't send a picture.  Throttle shaft is stuck, choke plate may be free, the piston in the choke housing is stuck.  If you are still interested, let me know.

I waited until you got back from the power tour to reply.
