G'day All,

After some advice from Ted Eaton (thanks by the way) I'm seeking a rough idea of availability and cost to upgrade my 272 a bit and give her some more go.  Does anybody have a complete set of ECZ-G (non posted) heads and high ratio rockers for sale around SE Queensland and what is the going rate for such beauties?   My block is a standard 1955 CEBY 272 with what I think are ECG-B heads (bit rusty aroung the numbers).  She also has the original 1.43 rockers fitted as well.  The compression appears to be good, but will check on tues as I get a helper to assist turning her over, but there is no smoke at all and very happy to fire.

The other way to go is a complete 292 if available and whether the budget allows as I'm still sneaking the $$$ away from the Officer in Charge of Entertainment and Finances!  Will definately have alot of spendable $$ after August, but trying to find out my options still at the moment.

Cheers Whitey

There is a set of rebuilt 1:54s on ebay with free shipping in the US. $225.00 There is a set of rockers only from Falcon Global whom I havent dealt with also. Have heard some not so good things about them. And there is a set from a private seller that has a 1:43 rocker inplace of the complete set of  1:54 rockers . It will need to be replaced. Just type in Y Block Ford in ebay and they will be in there some place.

Hi Whitey,

I'm an expat living in California. Moved here from QLD(Caloundra)4 years ago! . If you find what you need on ebay i can help you out with shipping to Brisbane. Got an Aussie bloke in LA who ships gear for me.

Just down the road a little you will find the most knowledgeable man in Australia (that should gain some browny points) in the guise of a fellow Y blocker who posts on this forum as aussiebill.

Give him a call or check his website www.cussobills.com

He is a great resource for us here in Oz.

Thanks all for the replies.   I've been watching all the parts on ebay (US site) but was hoping for something local to make it a bit easier.  Thanks BigAlz for the offer re assisting with postage and if I spend up in the US I'll drop you a line.  I have already bought my gasket kit from there and had no worries.

Just thought I'd see what is around the brisbane area before I start stalking Aussie Bill.

Cheers Geoff
