I removed the gage cluster for a good clean-up. The little green tabs that are taped into place for the directional lights, what kind of tape would one use to hold them in, must be something special i would think? Could they be glued in with epoxy or super glue?

Thanks for the help.  Gerry

what year is your car?  Tee bird or fairlane?  When i did my fairlane, I eventually figured out that the gel and bezels for the turn signals of my 56 sunliner were the same as the t-bird (maybe a 57 t-bird?  Not sure)  I got them from tee-bird products, and replaced the chrome bezels, then used cellophane tape to hold in the green inserts.  depending on overlap, you could also use a good super glue (i.e. zap-a-gap vs. drug store super glue) carefully applied.

funny, this just occurred to me last weekend on my old 64 f100. The cellophane tape from the factory was toast and just fell apart. I used a thin coating right over the top of the colored plastic film from my hot glue gun. transparent and flexible. Worked great! At the time I thought, i should take a picture and do a post about it but thought, nah, who would care! Smile

It's a 56 car and the tape is really discolored must be blocking out lots of the light. Just thought while it was apart I would change the tape or glue good point Thanks for the help.  Gerry
