Just for fun.

The first scallop job was just Rustoleum rattle cans (I just wanted to see how it would look).

I ended up leaving that way for quite a while - the semi rat rod thing was kind of fun.

Time came this year to get serious with it though. I had bigger plans and it's time I get them moving. Filling the seams and shaving the drip rails were in some of the plans. I am going for a mild 60s custom/salt flat racer look. I picked the wheels because of the resemblance to the old Halibrands. Not 100% sure if they will stay though, they may end up on another Uni I will probably buy soon.

Anyway, here are some pics of the roof work in progress. I may hold off until I get a gas tank for my MIG before I go farther.

Going to fill along the bed/roof seam too and fill the stake pockets.

Filled the antennae hole too.

Also filling the mirror holes in the doors - it's getting peeps.

I am real pleased with this A pillar - there is no fill in it.

Thanks for sharing but the pics don’t come up well on my end.  Resizing these pics to 640 wide or less in PhotoBucket will allow the pictures to display much more quickly for those of us on dialup and without the text running off of the right side of the screen.

Greg I forgot, you probably have it off the road for the winter, so a good time to do some bodywork. Should look pretty sweet when you get done. If I could ever score a little shortbed Uni I'd probably do that, shave everything and some kind of unique paint job. I could see everything good on my end.
