By now, several of the gang are at supper in Heath, not far from the track. I was not able to go this year and so am going to have to settle for pictures. Ted has a laptop with him and card reader so should be able to get everyone's images and so I will be able to post within the week of him getting back.

I am with you there Jim, I am also missing it, when I found out I couldn't go, I imediately sent a check to Bob Martin on Monday morning to at least make sure everyone else enjoys it. I did call him this morning and he was already at columbus and hadn't received it yet so I informed him he could at least count on it for the general fund, whereas I couldn't think of any other category that needs to be covered, I think he has all the bases covered. Now I am going to cry myself to sleep and dream about being there. Good luck to all, Bill

Jim,Bill Sorry to hear you couldn't make it .Right now 1745 hrs Friday . Lynne and I are heading out for dinner .I have a couple of the " Y- Blockers " cell numbers , will try and get an update LIVE from the track later tonight. Maybe we need a TV crew at the track so all of us who couldn't attend can watch all the action on the web . Now there's a thought ???? Lon

Jim, Bill, is it okay if we send some finnish tv channel there to make a Live broadcast from Columbus so that at least we here in Finland could watch the action real time  .

Lon, Jim, Seppo, I think we need the Y Block Channel on satellite TV (Direct TV or Dish network, I don't know what you have in those countries). or maybe go all out with a legendary FORD channel that just plays peoples engine building, racing, dynoing, car builds etc. Sorta like the speed channel but leaving the scrubs out. I'll go buy a camera and start working on it, it sure beats working in dusty old plants for a living.

Had a great time down there! My digital camera doesn't zoom on video's so your stuck squinting to see the action. Hopefully the sounds make up for it! I only recorded second round, so were missing about half the group. I'm sure someone else took some video as well. See you all next year....

Ted took my little Sanyo digital camcorder with him, and a mount to put inside other racer's cars. I am hoping he got some good stuff.

IT WAS GREAT!!! It was so nice to finally put a face to names. Debbie had a great time and is already planning next years trip. Good lord willing we will be there with the "Rebel Rouser", I'll go ahead and let the name of the Falcon out. I'll get a few construction photos up in a few days. If you have not been yet, you need too put it on your "Bucket List".

I just got back home. I hope everyone made it home safe. Hey Guys, I hear Harry won again!!!! Was that for both days??? Can't wait to see pics and hear all about it, just sorry I couldn't be there this year! I hope all had a great time and a safe trip home. At least this year didn't have any "peskie Aussie's" there to cause trouble!!!

Rob: We missed you. At least I got a T shirt with your car on it as the NMRA event shirt. Harry didn't win on Sunday, I think Dennis took care of that in the first round. The final was between John F and John F. Had great weather, and was a great weekend. And truthfully, we missed the Aussies too.

Made it back home with minimal trouble. Stopped in Arkansas to fix the trailer brakes but other than that, a non-event. As always, glad to have gone and been part of a great time. Thanks to all for making this another memorable year. I did get some good in car videos and Jim will pick those up from me on Sunday. I look for these to make for some interesting viewing once Jim gets them posted. Also a big thank you to all of you who downloaded their pictures on Jim's laptop as there are a ton of pictures for Jim to sort through for the site.

Even though I didnt race this year, I truely enjoyed myself watching the action and seeing friends. I was given a personal invite from a representitive from national trail to come back in 2 weeks for their "hell on wheels" weekend. He was very impressed with my red 56 and the west coast style of the truck. He also added that there will be magazine coverage of the event and show. Thanks to everyone who made the event possible.
