Got back at 2:30am today. Frank and John, where were you? We missed you. What a great park. 3/4 mile of pit parking. Harry made the quarter finals saturday and he lost in the finals sunday. I lost in the 1st round each time. More details and pictures later.

Dennis,

Looks like you are having a great time.  Bob Martin told me you had a great ET.  Was it your personal best?  If it was, congrats are in order (as Bob would say, "Salute!!!").  Looking forward to the details and pix.

Charlie,I thought I was going to have a great weekend the way it started off. 1st time down the track I had an .053 light and ran an 18.19 . 2 years ago at Columbus I had my best ever when I ran back to back 18.31's . I'm getting closer to breaking into the 17's .

Charlie, you were at Norwalk weren't you? Isn't that a neat track.

I had a good weekend on the lights. .053 -.049 .168 .025 .140 .095 .150

Ok, here is my attempt at photos. I always think I forget how to do it.

1st one is Harry's semifinal bye run.

This is the final, Harry is in the right lane.

Harry's car , my truck, Kevin's truck

Harry, Bob, Kevin, and myself were there.

Kevin made 2 passes before it rained, then went home. 17.42 and 17.44 pretty good.

Here's Bob

Dennis,

You are getting better every year (that .053 RT is great!).  I know you will nick the 17's soon, perhaps at Columbus.  All you need is cool air, a sticky track and bump the rev limiter in 1st and 2nd.  I'll keep in touch about the Shootout.  Yes, Corene and I were at Norwalk the week after Columbus 08'.  We attended the GoodGuys "Blue Suede Cruise".  You are correct, it is an awesome facility.  They also had nostalgia drags and asked if I wanted to enter and I thought about the sand trap at Columbus and said "no thanks".  There were about 2000 cars and we shared lots of Y-Block info with interested car show junkies.

Charlie, you would have been ok. They have a real long shut down area although it dips down at the end with a sharp right turn. Besides, you have experience now.

For the time being, I am going to leave the 1/4 mile stuff for you guys.  It is so exciting to watch you and other Y-Block guys with the great RT's and Close dials.
