Looking to buy a multicarb intake for our project - engine will be going in a trad. style T so going for the "look" here. I know a single 4 would easier to tune and probably run better but would like to see whats available for a dual or triple 2bbl intake. thanks-

Speedway Motors in Lincoln has a funky lookiing "dual two-barrel" adapter - that mounts to the top of a four barrel intake. Might be just enough shock factor to be interesting.......

At least you can quickly change back and forth - or maybe start it up one way and switch to the other.

The part number  (with two high buck Demons on it) is #925100 .....and the manifold alone is item #1352001

thats a neat idea, if I were to look for a 4bbl intake for the y-block, which one would I want? Might be nice to have the good 4bbl intake that I could run the adaptor on and switch back and forth as need be, like you were saying...

Dan, look around for an ECZ 9425-B intake.  I don't presently have an extra, but perhaps someone here can help you find one.

cool, I'll keep that part number in mind when I go looking...

Thanks!

We've been cussin' and discussin' what to do with one of these stocker four barrel outfits on several threads......better look through them a bit. The base looks like a gasket for a Holley 4150/4160 carb - but the holes are small - like 1-7/16 (1.438) diameter.

ECZ-9425-B is the ford or mercury part you want. ID numbers are across the top at the back......this one was on ebay and got sold a while back.

Just bought an Edelbrock 553 but am still going to keep my eyes out for the "B" intake as well - now I have to find some carbs Tongue

Go to vintagespeed.com and scroll down the page.  There are dual and triple adapters to go on a 4 barrel intake.  There are adapters to fit almost anything.  These are the same ones that Speedway sells.  I've never dealt with these folks, so I don't know about their service but they've got some neat old stuff.

Speedway Motors is a great company, good people. Speedy Bill has been around since forever. He has a wonderful collection of all kinds of cool stuff. One of a kind and rare Hot Rod stuff. He has been featured in several magazine articles. If you are ever near Lincoln, NE stop in.
