Carson: It's late, but last year in issue #78 of YBM, there were two advertisers for 317s. One was in Las Vegas at e mail philedmonds @ earthlink.net, best offer. The other 2 industrial engines were at 707-486-2595. Available for their scrap value, ask for Dave Schwartze

A friend of mine in St louis has a running 368 in a 56 Link Capri he says he'll sell and throw in the tranny.  Told me before that it runs but is a little wheezy like a stuck valve. Don't know where you're located but he knows another fellow that comes into St louis monthly from Nashville that might transport it.

What year are the Mercury’s?  Starting in ’58, the Lincoln family of engines were the MEL engines (383, 410, 430 cubic inch).  Prior to this, the engines were of a different architecture and often referred to as OHV or LYB engines.  The Lincoln block being asked for is the ’57 and earlier versions as supplied in the cars or through 1963 in some of the larger Ford trucks.

A friend happened to mention to me today that he had a set of ram's horn manifold, which is what I was inquiring about, but that they were for a Lincoln(?) or Mercury(?) industrial engine.I assume he still has the engine to go with those manifolds.Let me know if you'd like me to ask him.Steve.
