The radiator I took outta my 54 Capri is fairly ok. I cleaned it out with rust remover and I believe there's a leak. Called radiaror shops around here, southeast AZ. Nobody wanted the responsibility of fixing it. Now I'm looking into an aluminum replacement. I found a few with similar measurements that look like they'll work, but thought I'd ask all you experts what they recommend. And please don't suggest $500 custom made jobs.
Also, are electric fans an option?

   I did find your post earlier, my bad. Sent an email to brassworks.
Do you have any ideas for a replacement? I found a couple that are faitly close to the overall dimensions, core a little bit smaller. Just trying to find out if theres one that y'all know will work.

An ALUM generic may be hard to fit the core support and need a lot of fabrication.

Contact U. S Radiator as see what they can do for you. A 54 Lincoln is not a run of the mill car so you just can't get an item off the shelf..

The one I'm looking at has the same overall width but i assume the mounting holes will need to be drilled.bwidth and height and thickness are all within 1/2"

Which one are you looking at? I know the tbird guys are reportedly good results with Champions.
Good electric fans are fine. Cheap ones aren’t. I’ve run 3 electric set up’s. Proper shrouds still needed. But mine in traffic when it’s 90 up here, come on, run 90 seconds, and shut off for 90-120 seconds. Cars never overheat. The cheap ones I started out with, no shrouds, didn’t do it. 90’s not that hot for you.
Might need a second elec for the a/c condenser.

B-rad, there is still an old school radiator shop close to me in Michigan that is very good. I know it would involve a round trip with shipping etc. but maybe staying with brass would be possible dealing with this shop as it was for me. If interested I'll post contact information for you. Also, since electric fans are being discussed, do you have plans to upgrade to 12 volts?

I just got the quote for us radiator to recore mine. $1049. Not even an option. I'll have to go back to sites I looked at to gind the one I think should work.

The problem I'm finding is the inlet/outlet jose sizes. My 54 uses a 2" for both but I can't find any with that size. I heard that a radiator shop should be able to weld on whatever size I need but it'd be nice to find one that comes that way.

You're in AZ correct?
Have you GOOGLED a nearby large city such as PHOENIX or TUSCON for a radiate repair shop?
There has to be someone that can recore that raduator.

I did call a few shops in tucson asking to work on it but they didn't want the responsibility if they damaged it. Kinda unprofessional if you ask me. I'm gonna keep trying
