It is with a heavy heart letting this group know that John Feistritzer, one of our fellow Y-Blockers and also one of the moderators of this site passed away Saturday August 8, 2026. Condolences are offered to both his friends and family.

Sorry to hear another Expert has passed away. John gave Me some very helpful Information when I first joined the Site Years ago. He will be missed. Rest in Peace John!

That is very disheartening news. John was a really good guy with a vast knowledge of the Y-Block and how to make them go fast. I've missed seeing him for a while. I'm saddened at the loss of another of our "experts" who never gave up on the Y-Block. I miss him.

Very sad news. I met John years ago at the 2002 y-block nationals. Wonderful guy and always willing to share his y-block knowledge. RIP John.

We’ll all miss John. Dianne and I had a ride in the Hoosier Hurricane from the return road back to the pits one year at Columbus. Pretty neat.

I’m so sorry about John passing away he and others that are gone now really helped so many of us learn so much about our favorite engine.it reminds me of the time I was at a car show locally about 20 years ago ,an old guy visiting the area from California talked to me about hopping up and racing the model A Ford ,that was in the 30s and 40s. That generation is gone now and pretty much the knowledge they had. I owe most of my yblock knowledge to the great guys on this site that take the time to help me and others. Thanks to John and others for all you have done and continue to do
