I got a pair of repro Hood Insulation Pads that go on bottom side of Hood between the 2 Reinforcements. Backing is black Substance. Has anyone installed these? What is good adhesive not affected by Heat under hood? Thanks

I will chime in here - I used 3M Spray Adhesive on my 1955 Ford Fairlane after I put everything back together. There are great photos of the product and the installation at this link: https://www.hotrodreverend.com/post/2017/12/28/55-ford-fairlane-restoration-blog-part-32
To date I have had no issues, with severe cold in Ohio or triple digit heat here in southern California in the high desert. I am very happy with this adhesive.

I used 3M Hi-Strength 90 Contact Adhesive spray available in Home Depot or Lowes Stores on all of my cars and never had a problem. Just be careful that you have positioned the pads exactly where you want them before you press them in place as they will likely tear if you try to move them once the adhesive on the two sides are mated together.
