Wanted – A new set of STD-0.002” main bearings for the 1958-1968 Mercury, Edsel, Lincoln, and Thunderbird 430/462 engines. Any brand will work as long as they are 002 under the STD size. The Ford part numbers would be B8S-6333-AG (X4) & B8S-6337-AG (thrust brg). The Michigan Bearings part number would be 1021P-002. Other brand part numbers would include MS2444P-002, MS444-002, MBS413-002, & 4021M-002. Either call me at the shop or leave a message on this site. Barnett was on my list of a dozen plus companies that I called looking for the main bearings. They, along with the other companies, could not help with this. The 002 undersize main bearings for the MEL engines would appear to be far and few between now. That’s totally understandable considering that those engines have been out of production now for over fifty years and was not manufactured in large numbers when it was being produced.
Cliff, one of the YBF forum members, did put me on to a set that was on EBay. That particular set was listed only as a part number with no description as to their application which had a part number that was different from the numbers I already had. A normal search on EBay did not bring that particular set up as it was listed only by part number. Anyhow, that set is now headed my way. Thanks to all for the help.

Yes. Those bearings are for the Bonneville engine. Was not quite happy with the main bearing oil clearance with the existing bearings so the 0.002” undersize bearings are expected to correct that.
