If it hasn't come across your radar, the host of that show Roadkill (formerly of the Motor Trend channel and now on Max) picked up a '56 F100 with a 292 and spends an episode in Season 13 messing with it.  I'm hoping he keeps the Y block because all of those shows are just about big modernizing the engines.

Every car they build they beat to hell, I guess that is what Hotrodders do now., too bad the hobby has come to that.

As more of a hot rodder, I don’t think that’s it Lou. It’s more about the target audience for those kind of shows. What real restoration or hot rodding is all about takes too long and is too boring to fit between the commercials. Not of interest to most, and the rest of us are too small an audience.

I hear you guys...there used to be shows that would TEACH you how to do things, but this one is the pick of the litter...less phony drama and no fighting.  This is the closest thing...and it was refreshing that they didn't replace the Y block with an LS- at least on the first show.
