I am converting to power brakes but I want to stay with an original setup. I know that the under dash pedal linkage for the Treadle-Vac power brake booster is different than the manual brake setup. I think that the pedal arm is also different. I don't have the 1954 Mercury Parts Book that shows the exploded views of these parts. Can someone who has the parts book post the exploded view of the power brake pedal and linkage assembly for the Treadle-Vac. As the '54 Lincoln used the same power brake setup, a picture from the Lincoln Parts Book would also work for me. Thanks

Thanks Kultulz....that's just what I needed. I am missing three parts for the PB conversion. I need part #'s 22120 (firewall adapter plate), 22519 (linkage arm) and 2455 (pedal arm). I suspect that these parts were also used on Lincolns. If anyone has these parts please let me know. Thanks again.

The next time I go to the local old junkyard I will look and see if any has the power brakes.

Another thing here is, the MANUAL BRAKE PEDAL LINKAGE(s) being removed is necessary for one to install a dual reservoir MC and booster conversion while deleting the TREADLE-VAC (PERIOD LINC-MERC).

Kultulz....do you know if these PB parts are the same on the '54 Mercury and the '54 Lincoln Capri and Cosmopolitan models? Thanks

I got real lucky and found the PB parts that I needed! These cars stop real well with the Treadle-Vac setup. The only downside is the single reservoir but I have never had a brake line failure.
