Hey folks,
We're getting closer and closer to bringing this old 292 back to life!
I've got the carb that came in the engine, assuming it's original, how can I tell what rebuild kit (or replacement) to get? The only numbers I can find are "292" and the venturi size, 1.02. There are no tags or stamps on it anywhere.
Any help will be much appreciated!

Autolite model 2100. It's a simple bullet proof very reliable carburetor with kits available from almost anywhere.  I'll try posting a pic of a kit offeren by Dennis Carpenter. I can get the tag information from the original carb from my 64 F100 if needed. Hope this helps.........http://forums.y-blocksforever.com/uploads/images/5a24f74d-c2c0-4179-947d-bda.jpeg

Awesome! Thank you for that. If you get a moment, a pic of the tag from yours would be great.
Thanks again for the info.

On the lower left side (driver’s side for the U.S. vehicles) of the carburetor just under the left front carburetor attaching nut will be the stamped part number.  With that you should be able to get the right kit.  Too many of the older vehicles no longer have the original carburetor so that will help to also identify which particular carburetor you have.

Carb tag 1964 F100 292 160hp.  You should find the number in the location Ted suggested but in case a rebuilder removed the information, here is a pic of my original carb tag. C3TF-H  1963 OCT 3rd WEEK http://forums.y-blocksforever.com/uploads/images/66897254-29d9-46ae-893e-78e5.jpg
