If the 292 has the original generator bracket it’s pretty easy with aluminum spacers from ACE Hardware. The first one I did I hung the alternator from a piece of all tread, set the belt on, and measured what the gap were for the spacers. I was using a single wire Power Master 100 amp that could still use the idiot light and followed their instructions using the old regulator as a junction point but you should not need that if the alternator was already on the vehicle.EBay and The FOMOCO Times of the Crown Victoria owners monthly publication advertises guys dismantling cars for parts.
