Why can't anyone find a left rear wheel cylinder for my 54 Lincoln? Napa, O'Reilly's, auto zone, Google. All the others are plentiful but not the one I need. The one for the right rear has the inlet for the brake line on the wrong side. I suppose I could bend the line around and make it fit if necessary, but it may come up short. Ideas?

I just bought a rebuild kit for the one from the car. Probably just a good cleaning and new inners will be okay. Never did a wheel cylinder rebuild. Shouldn't be too tough.

Wheel cylinder rebuilds are easy, cylinders are usually left on the car while being rebuilt., mikes it easier and there is no need to remove them.
When you remove the innards take note of the order the parts go in.
If you need further help email me at vehicleone@hotmail.com

I would recommend getting a wheel cylinder hone to clean up the bore.
