The wire broke off mine right at the knob. If you have a parts car, I can use your choke knob WITH wire attached. My phone is 734-459-4894.

While the knob may not be correct for a ’56 Ford, using the knob and wire from a universal choke cable kit may get you back to a usable choke until the correct wire/knob shows up.
