THE COLUMN SHIFT LINKAGE FROM A 1953 FORD THAT I BOUGHT FROM ANOTHER MEMBER DID NOT WORK FOR ME DUE TO A SLIGHT DIFFERENCE IN THE POSITIONING OF THE TWO LEVERS AT THE BOTTOM OF THE SHIFT ROD. I SUSPECT THAT FORD HAD TO RELOCATE THE SHIFT LEVERS DUE TO INTERFERENCE WITH THE LEFT EXHAUST MANIFOLD WHEN THEY WENT FROM THE FLATHEAD TO THE Y-BLOCK ENGINE. WHAT I NEED FROM A 1954 FORD IS THE SHIFT LEVER WITH THE PLASTIC HANDLE, THE TURN SIGNAL HOUSING, THE SHIFT ROD WHICH GOES DOWN THE COLUMN WITH THE TWO LEVERS AT THE END AND THE TUBE WHICH ENCLOSES THE STEERING GEAR ROD. I ALSO NEED THE TWO SHIFT RODS WHICH GO FROM THE LEVERS TO THE TRANSMISSION AS THE 1953'S I BOUGHT ARE PROBABLY DIFFERENT. FROM THE '54'S. I DON'T NEED ANY OF THE STEERING GEAR PARTS. ONE OF YOU GUYS WHO SWITCHED OUT YOUR ORIGINAL 3 SPEED COLUMN FOR A MODERN FLOOR SHIFTER MUST SURELY HAVE WHAT I NEED. THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR THE HELP.
