Good morning folks. My name is Sammy and I am new here. Recently started a Lincoln project with the original 368. Just got it  to the machine shop for inspection. All checks completed and good. I’m going to build it basically stock dimensions with maybe a cam. Nothing crazy, just a driver I plan on cruising and keeping for a while. Anyone give me insight on a good complete engine rebuild kit. I looked into Egge machine, but thought maybe someone here has more experience with this motor may be able to point me another way. I may post up some pictures as I go along if anyone is interested. Thanks in advance

Welcome! If you are going to assemble the engine I would use “Best Gaskets” they are available for your Lincoln. I would get a shop manual or at least a blue Motors Manual which covers your engine. Both will contain all specs and the assembly order. 
If a shop is going to do it and they don’t have an old guy or someone who is knowledgeable RUN away with your stuff fast. I realize they are are just a mechanical air pump but care needs to be taken but more mistakes are made because the proper time is not taken. Replacement parts are expensive or maybe hard to find when the mistakes damage hard parts. There are many here that know these engines and are willing to help. Welcome, it’s always nice to see the Lincoln’s getting some attention. Putting your general location in your signature line might help if someone is local to you.

Cool another Lincoln member. When I did my 57 convertible I used Egge for most of my parts. Some items I had available locally such as the lifters and the oil pump but everything else was Egge. You can also check with Kanter they have kits available. If your looking for a mild cam Herb at Lincoln Old Parts has them available.

Herb at old Lincoln mercury parts is awesome help. Already picked up some things from him. I’m in Louisville, Ky. I’ve read most of the thread about the other 368 build. That guy has a nice motor going. Also if any moderators need to move this thread please do. I probably shouldn’t have started it in the Techinal forum
