With the blower installed on my Y-Block I have a small puzzle about hooking up the heater hoses. There is only a small amount of clearance above the thermostat housing. I do have the hole in the water pump for one end and assume this would be pressure out to the heater core. Question is where can I hook up the return line?

The water pump is return.

Does the blower manifold have a port for the heater hose, like a stock manifold?

So what I did was. Welded a bung just before the thermostat in the expanded part for the manifold side of the thermostat. Imagine that the makers of blower manifolds didn’t take into account of the need for a heater. MIKE

Here’s a picture replaces the fitting on the manifold and allows hot water to the heater to circulate before the thermostat opens. MIKE

FAMDOC,
I thought about drilling and threading a spot there for a outlet. Could I still use the water pump port for the return?

Mine manifold does not have a provision for a port. I think I could put one in similar to the picture. Good winter project I guess.

That is exactly what I intend to do with mine go back to the water pump. Good luck! MIKE
