Was wondering if one was to not use the two vacuum connections on top of fuel pump, should each be plugged or caped? Or should they be one side to the other?

If not using the vacuum booster portion of the fuel pump I will typically just loop a small section of vacuum hose from one connection to the other to keep the internal workings clean.

Sounds good. Thanks for your reply!

If you do not loop the two lines of the wiper vacuum booster part of the fuel pump together the wiper booster diaphragm is active when engine is running. When the lines are looped the wiper booster diaphragm goes into a inactive neutral mode. If wiper booster diaphragm is active this places an unnecessary load and wear on the internal linkages of fuel pump and fuel pump cam.

So are you say that you should not loop together? And by doing so this would cause problem with fuel pump? So should they be just capped each?

Loop the two connections together.  This will take the load off of the internal linkages as the booster part of the pump will no longer be trying to pull a vacuum.  And the looping of the two connections will also keep trash or debri out of the pump.

thanks Ted you explained it much better than me
