312 with C0AE heads. From what I can gather it's out of a 1960 Mercury . I'd like to get $400 for it or trade for a nice set of Fenton y block headers or Fenton 223 Ford manifold. Located in Northeast Missouri.

If you aren't getting any bites on your Ad, it may be because buying a 312 engine without photos, any documentation & crack testing is very risky!  At $400  with the lower performance heads, many will  just shy away..  Just info for U, I'm not in the market for it.. .

you can always sell a 312 if the price is within reason.you can talk 292 all day.you should use one to build a 312 etc.nobody pays attention.i have a 312 everybody perks up how much do you want for it.

darrel; Your points on selling a 312 eng are well taken.. but it's still generally more risky to buy one than a 272-292. without actually checking the block, crank & so on really well... It's also been pointed out here & in Y-Block Magazine, that some of them have substantial Cam bore alighnment issues..
