Having Trouble getting the Pan to stop Seeping. Had it apart 3 Times. I have checked the Pan for Flatness as well as Possible. Used a Gasket last Time with Permatex Aircraft Sealant as recommended by Permatex Tech. Stlll seeping small Amount after about a Week of being Dry. Someone suggested doubling up on the Gaskets when I do it next Time. Any suggestions? I used the "right Stuff" first 2 Times. Didn't seal well at all  even sitting Overnite..

Mark, are you sure it's the pan leaking?  The shift lever seal and the extension housing gasket, when they leak, causes fluid to gather around the pan flange.

Hi John. Yes its the Pan leaking. . I replaced Shifter Arm Seal as well as Front Pump Seal, Bushing, and Front Pump O-Ring and Convertor  O-Rings when I had the Motor out this Winter. Someone suggested I should "Dimple" the Bolt Holes slightly out from the Gasket  Side of Pan. Also to put the Gasket on Dry with no other Sealant. Whats your method of replacing Gasket so it does not Leak?

Mark, I just hammer the bolt areas flat and put the gasket on dry.

I've never had the fill tube not leak...

I used the Yellow Teflon Thread Tape coated with  Permatex Aircraft Sealer. Never dripped a Drop.

Using a ball peen hammer to flatten or slightly indent the bolt hole from the gasket side is something I do routinely. A flat surface is a better seal surface.
