I bought a bare block for a 292.
Located where the oil filter goes is a threaded pipe sticking out and nothing else.
I doesn't look like I could install a spin-on filter directly.  I am thinking I am missing a piece that goes between the block and the filter.  I could upload a photo if requested.
If there is a missing piece, where would I find one?

A picture will help.

Ebay or any of the vintage Ford parts suppliers could have whatever may be missing.

I did a search on ebay and found an adapter with O-ring and round plate and a plumbing threaded connector, brand new not used.  They even have instructions on how to install.

Isn't America wonderful?
