AM GETTING READY TO INSTALL THE BALANCER. ANY SUGGESTIONS ON "SHOULD I USE THE EXISTING CRANKSHAFT BOLT OR SHOULD I GET A NEW ONE"? MY CONCERN IS "CAN THE OLD BOLT TAKE THE 90 LB. TORQUE.? MY EXPERIENCE WITH MERCEDES BOLTS IS THAT THEY DON'T RECOMMEND REUSING OLD BOLTS BECAUSE THEY ARE STRESSED AND STRETCHED AND MAY GIVE WAY. THANKS

When I did my blower setup I needed a longer bolt and got it from http://www.kljack.com/ We have a store locally so I just took the stock one over and they actually had the bolt I needed in stock. They can also order. I also buy stainless steel bolts from them and they are generally cheaper.

I've used the stock bolt over again in a couple of engines with no problems.

90lbs no Problem.. Try doing up an early Ford rear axle nut [they're not big].. Over 200 lbs that'll make you pucker!
