I have a new set of Mummert aluminum heads. They are going on a stroked and bored y-block with a healthy cam. I would like to use roller rockers. I have seen references to various rocker companies on this forum but when I go to the websites I see nothing about roller rockers for a y-block. Am I missing something? Will later FE roller rockers work? Thanks.

John sells 1.7 ratio specifically for the aluminum heads. 1.6 are available from Harland Sharp.

Besides John Mummert and myself, Rocker Arm Specialists in California also offers roller rockers for the Y.
When you call Harland Sharp, there’s a good chance that they will have you contact me. Not sure if they will sell the rockers to you by themselves but ask them if this is what you are trying to do. From their perspective, there are several problems with selling roller rockers outright for the Y. First is that the rockers are different for iron heads versus aluminum heads in that the combination of lefts, rights, and center pushrod offsets vary between those two styles of heads. Second is that the rockers require some specific shimming from the stands to properly center the roller tips on the valve stems. Third is the replacement and/or aftermarket rocker arm shafts varying just enough in their outside dimensions to make it tough to simply hone the rockers on their end for fitting properly to all the shafts available out there. Custom Speed (Harland Sharp) sends me the rockers undersized so that the rockers can be honed specifically to the shafts being used.
With all that being said, I can supply the Harland Sharp rocker arm assemblies with a 1.6:1 ratio for both the iron heads and aluminum heads. I use the Schumann Nascar spec shafts for all Y rocker arm assemblies. For the aluminum heads, I do need the supplied rocker arm stands that come with the aluminum heads to complete those assemblies along with the two set screws that lock the stands in place on the shafts. I do thread the 2nd from right lower pedestal hole in each assembly with a 5/16-18 tap so that an oil restrictor can be installed in the event the oiling system around the center cam bearing has been modified for increased top end oiling.

I got mine from Ted several years back. Fit perfectly and no issues. Best way to go in my opinion.
