The reconditioned rods in my 292 have new ARP rod bolts installed. I don't have a bolt stretch gauge. I read somewhere that the Y Block ARP bolts are torqued to 50 foot pounds in a sequence of 20, 30 and 50. Is this correct?

If not using a stretch gauge, I torque the Ford Y ARP rod bolts to 50# in one clean movement after first insuring that the caps are seated in place.
