I don't know if anyone else is aware that the Door Latches for 56-57 Ford, Thunderbird, and some Mercury Passenger Cars are now available as Repro's. I got mine from Casco but Larry's and NPD are also carrying them. Pictures of the One I got attached. They look pretty good as far as Quality. I don't know where they are being made but I would guess good old China. Trying to find NOS especially the Drivers Door is difficult and if you find One they are not Cheap. I know they are available as rebuilt but some Suppliers want yours to Re & Re. Have a look at the Pics. Prices around $95.00

My original left door was very loose on the gear. A friend welded it and we added a shim to tighten. I found a Victoria Fordor to try to adapt but of course wouldn't. I'm glad to see some one making replacements. I hope they workout.
