Anyone know a good 272 Y-Block engine re-build guy in Southern California that's not going to make me think I should by a scruby 350? I am in Huntington Beach.
Thank You Wayne

I contacted John Mummert a couple of months ago about doing my Y block 312 and he said he is focusing on his manufacturing business and is not taking in new rebuilds. Just FYI.

I didn't know that but I am not surprised. He has been making a lot of parts for our old Y-Blocks.

Yo at Contemporary machine on Gothard in HB is very good. He is no longer doing cylinder heads but can direct you where to go for them. He has also slowed down some of the assembly from the past. He has helped me in machine work more than anyone. His balance and block work are second to none. He has been in the business so long that he has seen everything and done it too. now if i could just get him to assemble my 312 heads.....Tell him JD sent you off the Yblocks site....
