Just got back from Kool April Nights car show and cruise in Redding Ca. Just got her road ready last Monday afternoon. Managed a couple short (50 mi) trips before the show to wring her out a bit. Approx 150 mi each way without a hitch. Somewhere near 1800 cars even with the rain. Friday night cruise was fantastic! Saturday's rain held off till around one and still there were hordes of people. My 55CV took "Kool Vicky". A week on the road and her first show! Thanks to everyone here for all the help/advice and incouragment. It paid off!!

Rowen,

Well done. A nice ride and some recognition to ring home. Main thing is the smile on your face.

Thanks guys, your congratulations means a lot!! It has been a real labor of love. I'm pretty sure it was the "Y" that did it. Without all your help and advice I'm not sure it would have happened. Thanks again!!

Hi Rowen

The car looks great! For the less educated (me), can you tell us what you have going with the engine? I see the Mummert intake. Sorry if I missed a description in another post.

MplsMike, ok here we go... started with a 312 block sleeved DOWN to 292 (reason I was given win I purchased it was it was going to be a race engine and the 292 pistons were cheaper to replace if things went south), 304ci, 304hp, 330tq.
10.5-1 forged domed probe pistons (mummert). 292S Clay Smith cam. Mildly ported 113 iron heads. Gear reduction starter. Rex performance headers. Pertronix 2 with flamethrower coil. Edelbrock 600 with Mummert intake. Engine was built by John Beck out of Chico Ca. (Vintage Hot Rod Design). Fully blueprinted and balanced. Aluminum 3 core rad by champion with electric fan. WC. T-5 w/mummert adaptor. 11" mustang clutch. She runs like a scalded dog!!
