You are aware that the Edelbrock 257 is for Teapot carbs/Edelbrock/Carter carbs, and the Edelbrock 255 is spaced so that you can use Holley carbs? I have to remind myself that the larger number does not equate with the larger carbs. Joe-JDC

Lou, I tried to pm you, but it came back as undeliverable. Something must be wrong on your end. I am receiving e-mails at joedvick at swbell dot net I have a line on a couple of manifolds, so hopefully you can reach me. Insert @ for at, and . for dot. It should work.
Thanks, Joe-JDC

I have a fm257 intake. I am asking $425.oo obo. Plus shipping from ohio. I was told that the fm257 has the rear carb positioned forward to compensate for the 1957 distributor. Will entertain resonable offers or trade for side chrome for a 57' 300. not custom.

what condition is it in? can you post any photos of it?

I have noted no flaws (other than needs bead blasted) in the intake. You can view photos on craigslist ref. 1957 ford Dayton Ohio. You can also contact me through e-mail. Bikermech1@g-mail.....
Thanks, Doug

silent rick, if you are still in the market for an Edelbrock FM 257 I listed an NOS one on eBay. https://m.ebay.com/itm/Edelbrock-Y-Block-Ford-FM257-Vintage-Speed-Aluminum-Duel-Quad-Intake-Manifold/292666110312?hash=item4424427168%3Ag%3AJKAAAOSw4NVbY8yz&_nkw=+Edelbrock+Y+Block++intake+manifold+&rt=nc

I don’t blame you. I was not sure of its value so I listed it with a $300 reserve. A day later I looked at the auction and almost fell off my chair!

i was dreading it when i saw yours jump to $700. i knew it would happen. now someone with a shitted up 257 with stripped threads put one up with a 750.00 buy it now price. he describes it as rare. 20-25 years you couldn't get 200 bucks for it with a pair of carbs. a friend of mine sold a 3x2 with carbs for $135. it was all he could get. i seen the same thing happen to hemi parts.
