I would think any auto parts store would have the size you needed.

these are standard engineering components. if you only want one or two I suggest getting an accurate measurement (diameter) and search on e-bay Aus. you may get what you want at a fraction of the cost of importing one from the U S of A. shipping is a nightmare these days. stu UK

The size for that particular expansion plug is 59/64”. I get mine through a local machine shop. They get their supply from EPW (Engine Parts Warehouse) in Dallas, TX.

Thanks Ted, that’s exactly the info I was after.
Stuey- thanks mate, I haven’t had much luck calling around, but now I know the size I might make some progress.

, Try your local boat yard, they may have brass ones. Go to the repair shop, not their store.

J Mummert sells a plug kit. I also found this look for FO-292 http://freezeplugfactory.com/expansion-plug-chart/ford/ the nearest to the size Ted quotes is 29/32 this one is in Oz also shows 29/32. you may have to find out who they supply to get the odd one or two http://premiermachinery.com.au/product/welch-plugs good hunting stuey
