I'm new to the TBird and this group.  I have a bad brake master cylinder in my 57. It has been leaking inside the cockpit.  I removed it and the inside of the cylinder is pitted beyond rebuilding. I must also add that the car has a remote power booster.
My question is. Are all the master cylinders for the 57 the same, with or without the remote power booster. If they are not the same, can someone direct me to the correct one that can be used with the remote booster. Everything I have found says that it is only for manual brakes.
Thanks in advance

Can't confirm it one way or the other, but I seem to recall this subject coming up here quite some time back & the answer was that there was a 1/8th" difference in the  Master cylinders between manual & power brakes on 1957s. ??

The 55 to 57 BIRD used the same MC whether manual or power. The 57 FORD had two different MC..
That MC can be sleeved and restored BTW.
