1955 Fairlane PCV valve setup?

I know this has been beat to death, I'm losing oil bad through my blow by. There's  a how to somewhere on how to put a pcv  valve on  the pan under the manifold.Can anyone help? .Mine is a 555,   272 with new carb and a 57 model  292 manifold

Hit the search function and just look for "PCV". Lots of post come up. But if you've got a lot a blow by, a PCV is only a bandaid. It won't stop an oil consumption problem. Even so, it's worthwhile. You might google "closed PCV systems". That's where you use an oil fill cap with a hose to the air cleaner. No fumes into the air.

mgcook:  If your car has the block side canister breather setup, you need to check the following;  Take the canister cover off & check to see if the drain back tube in the bottom back may be plugged?. If so, you will have continued oil loss. It may require unbolting the entire unit from the block to clear it. Also, is your oil filler cap screen plugged with dirt & dirty residue?. On a stock engine that is usually the only entry point for crankcase ventilation. The system needs to be clear to circulate air thru the crankcase setup, to avoid pressure buildup.

PCV is not going to help with excessive Blow by. Is it Rings or are the Valve Stem Oil Seals deteriorated which can happen if they are older or even original.
