Did it on my 56..  drill holes .. bolts 'n' banging.. had to gently bend brake lines etc even made some spacers to try level the bar.. can be done . yes its worth it. BUT it was to match another aftermarket one on the front.

I've done a number of rear bars, various cars. Back in the late 60's I put an Addco on the back of a 55 bird. I've had one on my current 55 before I redid the rear suspension. Happy with both. But it does have to be matched to the front bar. I mismatched the bars on a car once. Felt really good in the dry, first day it rained I spun the car in an intersection. If Addco has a pair of bars, they're probably made to go together. They're still around.

As miker points out, adding a rear anti roll bar can make the car feel more stable, but if the bar is too big compared to a front one, it can lead to rear oversteer problems. Which is likely why most cars don't have a rear one or if they do, it's usually considerably smaller than the front one..

I contacted Addco asking about Bars for 55-56 Ford. They don't supply them new any more for this Application.
