Several suppliers on these, Frank.
1) Hmmmm... This switch is listed as a heavy duty B7A-11656-A application headlight switch. The price is greater than the others listed below. Supplier is out of Indiana and charges $9 for delivery. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1956-1957-56-57-FORD-TRUCK-HEAVY-DUTY-HEADLIGHT-SWITCH-12-V-NEW-/191097726642?epid=1123366141&hash=item2c7e4fe6b2:g:6DAAAOSwVL1WEB5H&vxp=mtr ______________ 2) This one comes from the same supplier as above in Indiana, supplier indicates they also have the shaft and knob if you need it, they charge $9 for shipping, claim it's a quality reproduction part . . . http://www.ebay.com/itm/1957-57-FORD-CAR-FAIRLANE-HEADLIGHT-SWITCH-FAIRLANE-CUSTOM-12-V-NEW-/192210608574?hash=item2cc0a521be:g:Zo8AAOSw4HVWD0u6&vxp=mtr ______________ 3) Hmmmm... This is a new-old-stock aftermarket supplier part, is more expensive, and is a supplier who I have gotten quality parts from before. His write-up is inviting, but maybe he's just a good salesman . . . Seller's asking price is higher and there is a shipping charge, too 'ONE NEW OLD STOCK switch DS131. Same as Ford P/n B6T11654A, B7A11654A, B7A11654A1 & FDR11654A. This is the headlight switch for ALL of the following models; FORD; 1956; 1957; ALL. FORD TRUCK; 1956; 1957; ALL. MERCURY; 1957; ALL. This is a MADE IN USA Sorensen/Standard Ignition part from the 1960's and is no longer available from the aftermarket.' http://www.ebay.com/itm/NOS-FORD-HEADLIGHT-SWITCH-1956-7-FORD-FORD-TRUCK-1957-MERCURY-MODELS-/382197191618?fits=Year%3A1957%7CMake%3AFord&hash=item58fcba53c2:g:ZmcAAOSwo4pYmOnk&vxp=mtr _______________ 4) This one has no packaging, shipping is free, comes out of Texas, but the Ford logo is on the part . . . http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-FORD-B6T-11654-A-Headlight-Switch-for-FORD-1956-1957-/152550635225?epid=1522137994&hash=item2384b9f6d9:g:uLUAAOSwlMFZGyXQ&vxp=mtr _______________ 5) This is a NOS Ford part listing. Another supplier in Indianna, price is higher, but shipping is free . . . http://www.ebay.com/itm/NOS-OEM-Ford-1956-1957-Fairlane-Thunderbird-Truck-Pickup-Head-Light-Lamp-Switch-/122373281052?epid=1522137994&hash=item1c7e04151c:g:nbsAAOSwax5YpLpl&vxp=mtr
After looking through these ads on eBay, I'm coming away thinking that the B6 whatever switch was used in different vehicles with different knobs for the passenger car, trucks, and T-Birds.
The B7 switch was a heavy duty application from Ford apparently for the trucks.
Enjoyed seeing and talking to you at Carlisle. Hope the info above is of help!
Regards, Charlie
