Composite, Best Gaskets from Ted or John Mummert. Possibly direct, have not tried yet. The head gaskets work on my "F" code very well.

Best for me, too. No reason other than it is what John sells.
From their website, it looks like they do not sell directly to the public.

I use the Best Gaskets. The Fel-Pro head gaskets for the Y’s tend to have water leakage issues at the bottom edge of the head. That’s attributed to the solid gasket design at the top of the Fel-Pro gaskets which upsets the clamping force at the bottom of gasket. The Best Gasket head gaskets have a much more open design around the pushrod hole side of the gasket which allows for a more even gasket clamping force on the gasket. Best Gasket also offers several different bore sizes for the Y gasket which puts the Fel-Pro head gaskets on the ‘too small’ side when going to the larger bore sizes.

Ted, I'm getting ready to do a complete rebuild on a '57 312 Y-Block and am planning to exclusively use John Mummert's products. However, I like what you say about the Best Gasket head gaskets. Would I still be OK with Mummert's gaskets, or should I go with Best Gasket? Thanks for your sharing your knowledge with us!

In fact Best worked with John to develop these head gaskets

Thanks Charlie and Pegleg. I had wondered if that was not the case anyway, since Ted and John are both very knowledgeable about what is best to use!
