I am trying to fix some things on my car that I didn't take care of beforehand before Cruising time gets here. I installed the aftermarket Power Brake conversion kit a few years ago & didn't install any metering or residual valves. My car always lunged with the front brake catching first. I just have the 2 lines (front & back ) going to the Dual master cylinder. What can I do to make this setup better? What parts should I install?. I saw one diagram for Drum/Drum with a metering valve with 1 port in & two out with each one going to each front brake. And they have just a 10lb residual going to the rear brakes. Any help will be appreciated as I would like to correct this ! Thanks, Mike

Drum brake master cylinders often have the residual valve built in. You would need to determine that.
The easiest way to do it would be to find a vehicle with the same type of setup and similar weight distribution and use the combination valve off of that.

I take it its the Corvette style 1" one ? If you have the correct one you should not need anything. You plumbed the front brakes to the front of the m/cyl ? By this time our brakes should all be overhauled , lines, flexible lines, wheel cylinders , the lot.. There is a big difference when things are working as they should..

My Unit looks like this one. The rod is the same and when I tried to install it, it was too long so I shortened it, & drilled a new hole. It worked but not very well. It just didn'[t have enough travel. I fabricated a new rod the other day & with some careful measurements ,got it all back together. Since this post, I took it down the road yesterday & the brakes worked a lot better. I also got my brake lights working right, which I wrote about in another post.
