1957 272 - The motor was removed in Sept 2015. Previous owner installed a cam that is difficult to tune. This motor is perfect for a rebuild. Located in South East Pa. Willing to deliver to Carlisle in Spring. Previous owner drove car from Carlisle to South East Pa with this motor and recorded 18 mpg with original cam and 2bbl carb.3 or 4 years ago.The odometer in the car it was removed from reads 75,000 miles; but can not verify. $750 or best offer.

Difficult to tune? Do you mean that it has a very rough idle due to the cam?. It's a 272 & you're indicating it needs a rebuild & likely has 75000 miles on it. So, you might want to reconsider your asking, because when the cost of a proper rebuild is figured in, it may be difficult finding anyone here, that will pay near $750.00 for it.

The motor has a camshaft. with 284 duration.. It does have G heads and a ECZ B intake. The big cam sounds really good and pulls all day long; however, it is no fun in traffic. Open to offers, the engine needs a new home.

You can't find a buyer for any 272 in my area in Norcal. Most are free

However.. in most cases if it needs a re bore, it likely can be taken out to at least 292 piston size, if that helps?

This motor has 1.54 rockers, G heads, EZC-B intake and a block that can be bored. I would not be afraid to just give it a nice hone and new rings. The original ford
57 camshaft comes with the motor. You are correct, just have the block bored for 292 pistons and you have a decent 200hp motor. Thank you for pointing that out.
