If I use synthetic oil do i still need the Ford aditive for the Traction Loc?

yes.

Most gear oils come with it.  Check the packaging.  It's hard to find oil without it already added now.

Thanks. I wasn't p0ositive if the synthetic that says its ok for limited slip wouild be ok in the Tracton Loc. Have Castrol that says it is ok. Have Ford oil that says check the owners manual and add the Ford aditive if its required. I will go with the Ford oil and the Ford additive which I have on hand already.  Just need my mechanic buddy to get the 3.89 together so I can get it installed in the car. Hope to get a warm enough day to take it out after I get it together. Don't have tha hardtop done yet and realy don't want to put it on the car anyway. The 3.89 and radial tires will change the whole nature of the beast again.
