By funkydude - 9 Years Ago I have a 56' Ford Victoria with an 292.  I wanted to put a new gas filter in the glass bowl, but when I took the bowl off there was really no filter in it.  It looked like it had a hard type filter that would not come out.  Didn't want to jerk it put until I asked about whether it comes out or not.  Can anyone help me.  Thank you in advance.  By DryLakesRacer - 9 Years Ago This probably won't help but my 56 has the glass bowl with no filter on the pump and I can't find a "rock" style or paper one to fit. I can only check it for sediment. I installed a glass AC unit in the stock location between the pump and the carb. The AC GF62 unit is exactly the same mounting length as my original T-bird filter, uses the same mounting and inlet/outlet adapters - and the canister can be fitted with the FOMOCO/Motorcraft logo cans from the 60's.   The mounting boss of the AC filter housing can be drilled out and threaded to accept a pressure gage as well.      Steve Metzger       Tucson, Arizona
