Hello all,

I had leaky power steering ever since I got my '56 running so without much thought I pulled off the belt to the pump and just drove around since the box and joints are all the same between power and manual steering. Well, Ive gotten used to the feeling of manual steering, and the pump, brackets, hydraulics, are all just gathering dust (literally), so I figure its time to pull it all off. So here's the deal, I am offering all the parts to switch a 55/56 car from manual to power steering. Pump, brackets, hydraulic arms, even the center link rod, (with the extra hole in the middle to accommodate an end of the power steering cylinder, plus the bracket that the OTHER end of the cylinder fixes to) and the extension for the pulley on the front of the engine. The power steering was fully operational when I pulled off the belt (just leaking too much from old rubber) that Im sure after a rebuild of the cylinder and some new bushings, hoses, etc it will be good as new.

Things that are not included are the tie rods, the arm on the end of the steering box, all the parts which are the same between power/manual steering (except for the steering wheel chrome trim, I keep that Smile. The hoses will be included, but may be cut as new ones will be needed anyways.

$600 or best offer gets all that, plus shipping if you don't want to come all the way to northern wisconsin to pick it up Smile
