Pulled my power steering pump, control valve and slave cylinder to get rebuilt, leaks everywhere. Any recommendations on where to send them? I know that Lares Corp. rebuilds these for a lot of money through Rock Auto. I am thinking of sending my control valve (about $185) and slave cylinder (about $226) there. Precision Products in San Antonio will rebuild my 1956 Ford Eaton pump for $70, so I will probably sent it there. They do not rebuild the 1956 Ford control valve or cylinder

Any other recommendations?

My slave cylinder did not have a rubber boot installed to protect the chrome shaft . Did it come that way from the factory? I would like to install one - would any one fit or does it have to be a special one?

Thanks,
Danny

Your new/rebuilt cylinder will come with the boot, or they can be purchased on Ebay or thru other sources/vendors

Ive had good luck with Chip Woyner at Power Steering Specialists  http://www.powersteering.com/us/

Great guy, and did my PS control valve several years ago.  Recommend you give him a call and discuss with him
