I am replacing my oil pan because it seems to have hit the axle and now has a crack and the plug won't thread. Right now it sits 2" above the axle. I wonder if I should replace with the same kind or look for a different kind of oil pan? Or will new springs solve the clearance problem?

Looks like a car oil pan (front sump).  You need a rear sump pan.
