In the course of resurrecting my 59 F250 4x4, I needed a water pump. The one with the 3/4" shaft and big impeller. I found dozens of listings for the A1-Cardone but everyone was out of stock, even Cardone's own website. I searched the internet for days. I eventually found 3 dealers who had NOS and was given the name of a place called Half ton Fun. I gave him the OEM number and he said he had one. $169 with shipping. It showed up and it was the Cardone reman with Fords B9 number written on the box with a sharpie. Heavy sigh. Well it's on the truck now. So, I'm sure some of you have ran into this. Do you have any good info to help others in their search?

The truck pumps are harder to find. There are places that can rebuild them.
For most trucks, the car pump and pulley assembly is a direct interchange and car pumps are plentiful.
Regarding NOS, you have to be careful with that. Something that has been sitting on a shelf for years can be in worse shape than something that has been in use for many years. Simply the age of the part, and also how it was stored play into that. So in that regard, it may be better that you ended up with a remanufactured pump.

NAPA doesn't have them and the place they can send them to won't do this one. I didn't find a ready source for the pulley, went to a local junkyard and looked at 6 y blocks from 56 to 61, car and truck, and all had the big shaft.

I can tell NAPA has them I just bought one not that long ago. Look on there website first. I had to do that to get a part number and then had my local store order it.

I went to NAPA with 4-5 different manufacturer's part numbers for them to cross, plus they looked in application..nada. Maybe your store's warehouse just happened to have one. The place they can send them to for rebuild wouldn't do this one, a first time situation for the store.
