I need a set of adjusting screws with the locknuts.  Summit Racing sells them for crane cams/mopar.  I can check the diameter/thread size, but what ball diameter to use?  OR, is there an aftermarket screw that will work?
Thanks for your help.

Might be best to move your request to the Classified section.  I'm not aware of any after market screws that fit.

Thanks, I did find (through Google and a truck forum) that Crane cams part CRN 99680-16, available through Summit Racing for FE Fords, is the right size and the ball end is just a hair smaller than the cup to allow oil to get in.  Will report back on fit and use when they arrive.

Crane cams screws were too soft.  After adjusting twice after 20 miles, I measured and they'd shrunk over 1/8".  I took some to my machinist and they measured out at Rockville hardness of 32, should be at least 60.  So going to try for a refund.  Ordered a set from Smith Brothers Pushrods after a recommendation from Ted Eaton (who has been very patient answering my questions, thank you very much) and Bill Coleman (my machinist) who has also used their products.  Smith Bros uses induction hardening to get 60 min.  Just waiting for the postman and will report back

I also recommend Smith Bros.  I've only ordered from them once, but the product is a work of art, turn around is fast, and the price is reasonable.

RB.  Old news now, but per JM's website the '54-'64 rocker arm adjusting screw ball radius is 3/16 inch.

Thanks for sharing your information about the hardness rating.  Appreciated!

Smith Brothers are the best. Service is great, they always have time for you. I have never had one fail on any race or stock engine.

Put about 20 miles on yesterday with the new screws.  Can't say the headers and Smithy's makes it purr like a kitten, but it lost the marbles in the tin can sound from before.  I could even hear the fan belt going around!  Problem solved, go Smith Bros Pushrods!
Summit Racing said they never had a complaint about the Crane Cam screws, so in asking for a refund, I told them to test for themselves or contact Crane.  If I get a response other than a refund, I'll let you know.
While I was out testing, I went by the weigh scales at the landfill.  2600 lbs on the A coupster, so it's pushing it right nicely.

Got some miles on it over the weekend.  Adjustment seems to be holding.  Vote in favor of Smith Bros. Pushrods.
